BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices witnessed mixed trend on ScrapMonster Price Index as on August 26th, Friday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices surged higher. Copper scrap prices too were up over the previous day. Aluminum scrap prices registered decline, whereas Stainless Steel scrap prices surged higher on Index. Meantime, steel scrap prices were unchanged.
The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing surged higher by CNY 1,000 per MT over the previous day.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also were up by CNY 1,000 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices edged higher by CNY 500 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery was up by CNY 250 per MT over the previous day.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices inched higher by CNY 100 per MT each.
Cu/Al Radiator prices edged higher by CNY 250 per MT.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were up by CNY 100 per MT on Friday, August 26th, 2022.
Also, Heater Cores prices rose by CNY 400 per MT.
Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
6063 Extrusions witnessed decline by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 50 per MT.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers held steady on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices dipped by CNY 50 per MT on Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT on 26th August, 2022.
The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% witnessed no change on Index.
#1 HMS prices held steady on 26th August, 2022.
Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.
201 SS prices were up by CNY 100 per MT on Index.
304 SS Solid prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
The price of 304 SS Turning surged higher by CNY 100 per MT on Index.
309 SS and 316 SS prices soared by CNY 150 per MT each when compared with the prior day.
310 SS Solid scrap prices were up by CNY 200 per MT on August 26th, 2022.
Shred SS prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT over the day.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China rose on Index.
Brass Radiator scrap prices inched higher by CNY 100 per MT on August 26th, 2022.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were up by CNY 150 per MT on Index.
