Elon Musk Applauds His SpaceX and Starlink Ventures Accomplishing These Feats

Elon Musk on Friday took to Twitter to laud new milestones achieved by his SpaceX company and the Starlink satellite service, which operates under the umbrella of SpaceX.

Record Deployments For SpaceX: SpaceX launched its 32nd Falcon 9 mission of 2022, breaking its own record in terms of orbital launches for a single year. This compares to the 31 launches for the whole of 2021.

At the start of 2022, the company set a lofty target of 52 launches for the year. The launches have been predominantly for SpaceX’s own Starlink satellites. The Musk-led company said 46 Starlink satellites have been deployed on Friday. SpaceX has a partnership with NASA for sending Dragon capsules, carrying cargo and people to the International Space Station.

The Tesla, Inc. TSLA CEO commended the team through a tweet, wherein he said, “Congrats to SpaceX team on record number of launches.”

Starlink Broadens Availability: Musk also tweeted that SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service, which boasts of high-speed and low latency, is now available in 36 countries.

Musk-owned internet service’s utility came to the fore during the war in Ukraine. Starlink terminals were transported to the war-torn country to provide connectivity that suffered due to the war. Moreover, Starlink has now made the service available on the move, on recreational vehicles and boats.
