Bristol-based data and payments fintech Moneyhub has appointed a new product director, David Firth.

Firth joins Moneyhub as product director from Mastercard

Firth joins from Mastercard, where he built out the payment giant’s open banking solutions for European banks and credit card issuers.

Prior to Mastercard, Firth spent more than four years at TransUnion, heading up its product management division for open banking.

Speaking on his appointment, Firth says Moneyhub’s “ethos of enhancing the financial wellness of people, their communities and their businesses attracted me to the company” and he will work to “drive this purpose forward”.

Moneyhub develops ISO 27001 certified software for open banking, open finance and open data applications and enables firms to access the data and analytics required to create personalised offers, products and services.

Firms use Moneyhub’s APIs and customisable platform for data aggregation, insights and notification nudges as well as to initiate payments.

The tool is powered by Moneyhub’s APIs and leverages open banking, open finance and machine learning to give consumers a holistic view of their finances and create customised financial plans.
